Edlund A/S supplies complete systems for administration of insurance portfolios – life, pension,
unit linked, and non-life.
Our products
Edlund A/S develops the products Life.Net®,
NonLife.Net®,
Unitlink.Net®, and
MVS. These products are framework systems
and are used by Edlund A/S as the basis for implementing solutions for life insurance companies,
pension funds and non-life insurance companies. The products are also made available to partners who
wish to offer similar implementation projects for primarily foreign insurance companies and pension funds.
Edlund A/S develops reference solutions based on Life.Net®, Unitlink.Net®,
NonLife.Net® and MVS. The reference solutions indicate best practice examples of how
the products can be implemented. The reference solutions also serve as the basis for new implementation projects.
Edlund A/S
Edlund A/S was founded in 1992. The basic idea was - and still is - to combine the professions computer science
and actuarial science.
Edlund A/S har 164 skilled employees (April 2010).

145 employees work with actual software development on a daily basis. They all have long theoretical
training, typically an MSc or a PhD in computer science, actuarial science, mathematics,
statistics, engineering, or similar professions.

10 employees assist our clients with performance specification and testing. They all have great experience in either both
or one of these areas from other companies in the industry.

The management of the company consists of Erling Edlund Andersen (Chief Executive Officer), Line Find Hansen
(Chief Project Officer) and Thomas Jøhnk (Chief Technical Officer).
Edlund A/S has a campus with 10 charming, old houses in Valby between Carlsberg, the railway cutting,
the Jesus Church and the park Søndermarken.
Our philosophy
Edlund A/S is the market leading supplier of solutions for the administration of Life and Pension in Denmark.
The key elements to this success are, among other things, the following:

We hire the most skilled persons. As a minimum, all developers have five-year training in computer
science, actuarial science, or similar professions. All persons employed in performance specification and testing have
lengthy experience from other companies.

We use the best technologies. The central technologies are Microsoft .Net, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows
Communication Framework, and Windows Presentation Framework.

We use an agile project model. The key elements of this are Scrum with iterative development and ongoing
incorporation of improvement proposals, close collaboration with clients, steering group meetings, etc.

We use mature development methodology. The key elements of this are distributed version control,
uniform and fully automated translation of complete solutions, daily builds of all projects, widespread
use of automated tests (unit tests and integration tests), bug tracking, etc.
We employ no sales representatives. If the solutions cannot sell themselves, they are not good enough! And in
that case, the money should be spent on further development rather than sales.
